Utilization of carbon dioxide in slags from steel and metal production
Summary
The NuKoS project aims to increase the resource efficiency of the industry by using CO₂. To this end, raw gases containing CO₂ are to be used in slags from steel and metal production that have not yet been subjected to high-grade material recycling. On the one hand, CO₂ can thus be recycled and on the other hand the amount of materials to be landfilled can be significantly reduced. The generated products are to be used as high-quality secondary raw materials (e.g. carbonates) in various branches of industry.
