Carbonation of lithium-containing primary and secondary raw materials using CO₂
Summary
The CO2-LiPriSek project aims to develop and evaluate a universal, economical process for the extraction of marketable lithium from lithium-containing ores and industrial waste. By means of direct carbonation, different raw materials (e.g. lithium-containing ores, battery residues) are to be converted into lithium carbonate of battery grade quality (bg-Li2CO3 > 99.5 %).
