Calcium Carbonation for industrial use of CO2
Summary
To develop the full potential of recycled concrete to bind CO2 and to reuse it as a building material is the primary ambition of the transdisciplinary research project C2inCO2. By developing optimized treatment processes and efficient carbonation methods, the project aims at closing the CO2 and material cycles in concrete production and, thus, significantly reducing CO2-emissions from the cement and concrete industry.
